About Arup
Arup is an independent firm of engineers, consultants, designers, planners and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services in 33 countries. Founded in 1946, Arup is the creative force behind many of the world’s most prominent projects such as the Sydney Opera House, the Birds Nest Stadium in Beijing, the Øresund Bridge, and many other globally unique and distinctive projects.
Arup’s shared values, like our firm’s name, are derived from the beliefs and convictions of our founder, the engineer and philosopher Sir Ove Arup. Sir Ove believed work was only valuable when it had something higher to strive for. The firm continues to embody this idea – that our work is truly profitable when it shapes a better world. Today, across the world, our people use their skills and expertise, diversity of thinking and independence in the quest for a safe, sustainable and resilient future – for all.
Our Danish office, opened in 2012, embrace these founding values to drive our work, as embodied in work on the Camp Adventure Tower, Cityringen Metro and Femernbælt Fixed Link. We are a thriving and growing office, as a mix of both Danish and other nationalities, integrated into the global Arup community, and working on many exciting projects, opportunities, and initiatives across Scandinavia and internationally. We are centrally located in the heart of Copenhagen, in Axel Towers 3 min. from Copenhagen main station.
At Arup, we strive to bring environmental sustainability and social equity together. We put sustainability at the heart of our projects and invest in research and development that helps tackle issues such as climate change and poverty. We have made a commitment to reach net zero by 2030 and to contribute meaningfully to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, creating shared value for our clients and our communities while safeguarding our planet.
A career at Arup gives you the chance to have a positive impact on the world. For us, corporate responsibility is not just a policy; it’s a way of working.
We are committed to creating an inclusive working environment for talented people of any background based on merit, fairness and respect.
